Adobe Photoshop Alternative

Our readers know that we are always on the lookout for FREE programs that really shouldn’t be free. In the past, we have recommended Gimp as a “poor man’s Photoshop”. Now, we have been introduced to another Photoshop alternative.

Chris at Evolving Solutions alerted us to Paint.Net. If your pockets are shallow but you need a great graphics program, this is another one that you should check out. His blog gives the lowdown:

[Paint.Net] has most of the same features that Photoshop would have and it is FREE. I have been using it for the last two weeks or so and it is very good.

As soon as he said “FREE”, I was hooked. However, if you still need some convincing, go to his blog and check it out. If you just want to jump in with both feet right now - click here to download a copy.
