Apple iPhone Vulnerable?
According to an article in the New York Times, there may be a security flaw in the iPhone which could allow a hacker to hijack it.
Independent Security Evaluators discovered that they could take control of iPhones if the owner was tricked into visiting a malicious web site through the WiFi connection. Once this happens, they said they are able to access all the personal information contained on the phone.
ISE has alerted Apple to the flaw and provided a recommended patch to solve it. Apple’s spokesperson, Lynn Fox, says that Apple is taking this very seriously and is examining the ISE report.
As of now, there is no evidence that this flaw is being exploited. Expect more information soon.
