Control line spacing when using multiline text
This is a great tip to give you greater control over mulitiline text. Sometimes, the spacing can make you scream! Never fear. Follow these steps and take back control:
At the Command line prompt, type in TSPACETYPE
The initial value that Autocad programs into your computer registry is: 1 (which represents “At Least”)
At Least adjusts line spacing based on the tallest characters in a line. However, there is a second option: 2 (which represents “Exactly”). Exactly uses the specified line spacing, with no regard to individual character sizes which appear on each line. This setting is handy if you are making a form to be filled out on your drawing. For example, a certification. A TSPACETYPE of 2 will keep each row exactly the same distance apart and that will make your form look much better.
There are, of course, exceptions and you should play around with these settings to see which one fits your requirements.
