Blogsmith to Release Soon

Nick at The Webpreneur alerted us to an announcement about a new blogging software that will be hitting the ‘net soon.

It appears that Blogsmith will be entering the blogosphere with their product designed to compete with PHP based WordPress and PERL based Movable Type.

These “all-in-one” blogging packages have made it easy for anyone to start a blog while knowing little or nothing about writing code for the Internet. That has meant a blog explosion in recent years with Technorati tracking more than 50 million currently.

The latest tech offering is always exciting. So, we will be on the lookout for Blogsmith (although I am not sure if we will ever switch from WordPress ;)).

    It might be very difficult to move away from WP for large sites unless Blogsmith has some plugins to migrate from WP, and exceed in functionality than WP. I will definitely look up to at evaluating the new software if I get a chance.

    Raj - I agree totally. WP is sooo easy to use and has so many cool plugins. I don’t plan on migrating, but I will take a peek at Blogsmith and maybe start another blog with it ;).
