Our Tech blog has become somewhat ungainly. We have posts about CAD, Search Engine optimization, technology, recent projects we have completed, web design news and the list goes on. We no longer run a blog…we run a blob.

So, we are going to be splitting the blog into two blogs. You are currently reading our Tech blog which will continue to have information related to technology, electronic gadgets and the like. Our new web design blog will be the place to find the latest news on SEO and web development, which will include things like programming languages, graphics techniques and much more.

Hopefully, this will be a good idea and will help us get things back under control.

New Project Completed »

We are proud to announce that we have put the finishing touches on the new web site for the Carteret County Chamber of Commerce. This was one of the larger projects that we have undertaken and we are pretty proud of it.

When they approached us, their main goal was to have a site that they could update on their own, and that is right up our alley. Their new site is under their control and they usually update it several times a week – with no help from us.

Additionally, during one of our initial project meetings, I recommended that we look at ways to improve the web site as a revenue stream for the Chamber. We tackled that task by creating the ability for advertisers to place their ad on an interior page that is more geared to their target audience. We also added some third-party advertising to each page that will bring in a little revenue as well.

Nowadays, Search Engine rankings are vital to the success of any website. The Chamber’s site gets traffic from people looking for information on North Carolina beach vacations, Morehead City or Emerald Isle golf courses. So, when people are getting ready to vacation on the NC Coast, we want them to check out the Chamber’s site to see what there is to do in our area.

Now that the site is up and live, we are in the process of improving the Search Engine rankings. This is an ongoing process, but we have already seen a big improvement in just a few weeks.

Anyway, I wanted to invite everyone to take a look at their new site. And, if you ever want to take a break from the rat-race, you really should consider visiting because there is plenty to do at the North Carolina coast – fishing, surfing, boating, golfing or beach-bumming – it is all right here.

Retail Space for Lease in Swansboro »

I posted back in June about Ward Farm, a new community offering office and retail space for lease and homesites for sale in Swansboro. This community is really going to be super (think Charleston, SC style architecture in a small-town setting) and we are really excited to be helping them market it.

As I said, the property is going to have office and retail space for lease plus fifty homesites and a thirty room inn. The subdivision layout will have two of the fifty building lots right on Hawkins Creek and many of the new homes will have water view.

Web Design Blog Back Online »

Wow!  What a chaotic few weeks.  We have recently migrated to a new web server to get away from the worst web hosting company on the planet (more on that in an upcoming post) and it has been quite a process.

So, needless to say, posting on the blog was put on the back burner.  Well, I am happy to say that it seems we are back in business (fingers-crossed).

Most importantly - we would not even be nearly this far without the awesome help from Garry Conn.  Garry offers a great WordPress SEO service and he worked tirelessly to migrate not only all the blog posts on our blog but even moved our other web site content for us.
