With many web designers moving to CSS layouts or at least making more use of CSS in their designs, a handy-dandy CSS cheat sheet (or 2) might be nice. So, we ran across a few listed by Simonne over at alltipsandtricks.com:

Adobe Photoshop Alternative »

Our readers know that we are always on the lookout for FREE programs that really shouldn’t be free. In the past, we have recommended Gimp as a “poor man’s Photoshop”. Now, we have been introduced to another Photoshop alternative.

Chris at Evolving Solutions alerted us to Paint.Net. If your pockets are shallow but you need a great graphics program, this is another one that you should check out. His blog gives the lowdown:

[Paint.Net] has most of the same features that Photoshop would have and it is FREE. I have been using it for the last two weeks or so and it is very good.

As soon as he said “FREE”, I was hooked. However, if you still need some convincing, go to his blog and check it out. If you just want to jump in with both feet right now – click here to download a copy.

CCT Creating New Website »

Crystal Coast Technologies is pleased to announce that we will be designing a new web presence for the Carteret County Chamber of Commerce.  We are very pleased that the chamber selected us out of a group of several other web design companies.

The new web site will be totally dynamic, allowing the Chamber to update content on their own.  Also, there will be several new features for site visitors including the ability to signup for automatic email alerts of upcoming events, an improved member directory and more.

Web Site for Town of Cedar Point »

CCT is please to announce that we are creating a web site for the Town of Cedar Point, NC. The web site is going to be full of functionality that visitors will really appreciate. There will be hurricane information (hopefully, this page will not be updated too often ), upcoming events and schedules, tax information and more.

The true beauty is in the fact that the Town Administrator will be able to update the content of the website without having to call us to do so. Our custom CMS (Content Management System) runs off of a database and is so easy that, if you can type in Microsoft Word®, you can update your website. Stay on the lookout for this new site.
