Ebay Buys StubHub
San Francisco-based StubHub is to be the latest addition to the Ebay family. StubHub is an online marketplace that sells tickets to just about any event out there.
Their strength lies in the partnerships that they have with the NBA, MLB, NFL and NCAA colleges. Fans are attending sporting events in record numbers and StubHub is one of the most popular ways to buy tickets.
Ebay is going to shell out more than $300 Million and then let StubHub continue to do what it does best: Sell event tickets online.
The combination of Ebay’s e-commerce skills and StubHub’s partnerships and proven success will serve to make Ebay’s ticket finder stronger.
