More Sony Batteries Recalled
This time Laptop manufacturer Toshiba has recalled 340,000 laptop batteries made by Sony and shipped with laptops made between March and May this year. However, this recall is not due to any types of explosions or fires. Apparently, the batteries simply lose power. That doesn’t sound like a fire hazzard (whew).
However, this has not been a great year for laptop batteries. Recall that last month, Dell recalled more than 4 million laptop batteries for fire problems. As the push for smaller and faster laptops increases, the batteries are being worked like never before. This is probably not the end of these types of issues.
