Nintendo Wii Strap Recall

I guess Nintendo learned something about damage control from Sony’s Laptop battery fire hazard fiasco (remember the pictures of the grilled-to-perfection laptops?).

Nintendo, facing some bad PR photos of their own, has decided to recall more than 3 million Wiimote straps. The Video Game maker does not want to see anymore pictures of cracked up plasma TVs, so they are getting it fixed before stuff gets out of hand.

Nintendo has a form on their website for consumers to fill out to receive replacements.

Acting relatively quickly on this issue should also help preserve the Wii’s sales lead over the Sony PS3. Good job Nintendo.
