What They Wanted
Art and Chrissy have decades of experience buying, selling, and restoring boats. They leveraged that experience into a thriving boat broker business and wanted to create a custom designed website to introduce their brand. The design had to capture the appeal of the NC coast. The site had to include movement and had to connect to their 3rd party software that handled their boat inventory. The website also had to include an option for visitors to instantly connect with Art via chat. Here's how we did that...
What We Did
Since Art already had a logo, we used its colors for the UI and website layout. We worked on making the site easy to navigate and added some subtle interactions on the buttons and other design elements. After a couple of review sessions with Art and Chrissy on Zoom, we had everything nailed down and Gary started coding it up. He created the custom API connection to automatically show the current inventory from Hey Dude Marine and set it to automatically update. So when they add a new boat to their inventory account, their website automatically captures, formats, and displays all the details. Lastly, we setup a chat feature so that visitors can quickly get in touch with any questions.
