Yahoo! Buys MyBlogLog and Bix

I guess Yahoo! wants to show that it can shell out money just like Google.  Yahoo! purchased both MyBlogLog and Bix yesterday.  Busy day.  MyBlogLog is a great site for bloggers.  Think of it as a blogger’s MySpace.  Bix is more of a social contest site.  You can basically vote for the “best ______” (fill in the blank).

Of course, Yahoo! loves it when people visit these sites because it increases exposure.  Buying MyBlogLog is money well spent, I think.  Social networking is here to stay, at least until the next big thing.

Bix, hmmm…I am not too familiar with it but it certainly fits in with the Social networking process.  It will probably be a big hit.
