Taser is set to release a hip, colorful new version of its famous stun gun at an Electronics Fair in Las Vegas. Yes, all you slaves to fashion can now repel attackers with up to 50,000 volts of high-tech fashion available in four colors: Black, Silver, Pink and Blue.
The stun gun will fit in a pocket or purse right next to your cell phone. It also features a more ergonomic design, so it will be easy to grab when needed.
Taser says that the purchaser will have to take part in an online background check before the stun gun will be activated.
Since the US Government does not classify them as firearms, most states do not require bearers to carry a permit. Adding to the controversy are the numerous reports of deaths resulting from Taser guns.
Yesterday a Queens, NY man died of cardiac arrest after he was shot with a Taser gun and a man died Saturday Fort Pierce, Fla., after he was shot with a Taser gun.
Taser says their stun guns save lives by reducing the use of firearms.
