In this age of greater concern for privacy on the Internet, Ask.com appears to be offering the first significant way to protect its users search privacy.
According to a press release posted on IAC Search & Media’s web site, Ask.com is working on AskEraser which will give its users the ability to completely remove their search history from Ask.
Based on the press release wording, it sounds like users will register and set their preferences so that their search history is either retained or removed.
AskEraser is expected to be available in the U.S. and the U.K. by the end of 2007 and to everyone else early next year.
