MIT students, with some collaboration from GM, are developing an idea for the City Car. Their concept works with any existing public transportation infrastructure by placing easily accessible electric cars near subways and other public transportation points throughout a city. As a passenger leaves the subway, they can go to the Vehicle Stack and grab the next one in line.
