HP announced that the company would be focusing more toward its Print 2.0 solutions. This move includes furthering HP’s leadership position in home photo printing and online photo services, while accelerating the company’s retail photo-finishing business, thrusting itself to be a more print-media-information based company.
They are also searching for an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) partner that would be given license to design, source and distribute digital cameras under the HP brand. HP will still continue to sell its own cameras throughout the holiday season and plans to have the partnership arrangement in place in the early first half of 2008.
