Nokia announced Thursday that its mobile customers and users of Windows Mobile 5.0 will be able to use its smart2go mapping and navigation software for FREE.
Smart2go is pretty slick and it offers some pretty beefy features. Users can get turn-by-turn directions from a satellite in more than 30 different countries.
It also lets users see where they are currently and check their surrounding area for interesting places to visit. Users can download the maps over the air or through a PC connection and can store their maps on the memory card. Very nice.
Be on the lookout for this freebie starting tomorrow. And if you are a mobile user of the Nokia S60, S40 or PocketPC, Nokia says they will be supporting more devices later this year.
And if that wasn’t enough freebie info for a Friday, Nokia is also providing a new mobile search application that will search for Calendar information and SMS messages on their handsets. If you use one of these Nokia phones: N95, N93, N71, N62, N60, you can download this little search application for free right now.
