Seagate Encrypted HardDrives on Laptops soon

Very soon, incidents like these may come to end. Starting next month, Seagate, together with ASI International, will be offering laptop computers with built-in encryption technology on the hard drive.

The chip is packaged together with the laptop PCs and without the authentication from its rightful owner, you can save your energy trying to boot up or read data off the disk. The encryption operation including the security keys are right on the drive.
