The Inspiron 1501 is a new Dell laptop that will be sold with an AMD processor. What? No Intel chip? Well, Dell does make other laptops too, you know.
Dell will give you several choices for this laptop. You can choose the base Sempron, the Turion 64 or the dual-core Turion 64 X 2 processor.
Dell has geared this product toward small businesses and basic consumers. The starting price point will be $549 for the 1.8Ghz Sempron, 512MB, a 60GB hard drive and the 15.4-inch screen. If you want the Turion 64 processor, you are looking at $704 and $1,093 for the Turion 64 X 2.
